- 2008 Employment Trends in N.C.'s Recycling Industry
RBAC's 2008 Recycling Jobs Study reveals that recycling businesses in North Carolina continue an upward growth trend. The study found that North Carolina supports 14, 490 private sector recycling-related jobs and recycling jobs have increased 13.4 percent since 2003.

While manufacturing jobs in the state have declined from 817,300 in 1994 to 577,400 in 2004, recycling jobs in the state have increased 60 percent from 8,700 to 14,000 during the same 10-year period.
